Is the rear subframe damaged at all? A bit of a long shot, but I was recommended this guy: - I've not used the place and so I can't comment. This is another I've not used, but have heard good things said although I don't think he's cheap: - www.oldschoolengineering.co.uk/(Check out the gallery pictures as that Mini 1275GT they restored is fantastic). Those are about all that I know in my area sorry, but I'm sure someone will suggest someone closer to you.

My dad said he came across this company:
Welsh Coast Classics - Pembrokeshire
07881 453 651
That's all we know about them though..? Could be worth a try? If you ask them for an email address you could email your photo's to them then so they will have a better understanding of the damage....
Perhaps give you an idea of a cost?

Cheers Taffy, will wait and see if someone near me has an idea, will give those too a call as well. The sub looks fine just a slight nick on the bottom lip. have been offered a new recon with running gear for £ 200 is that a good price as have no idea..

One thing to watch if your getting it done local with someone who doesn't specialise with classics is to point out that the subframe mounting area may well need to be straightened out.
(looks as if the drivers side of the rear subframe has tried to travel through into the car, which is why the rear quarter bottom section is sticking out)
If that isn't sorted out then the car will crab... badly... As Phil said it really doesn't look good... but im pretty sure people have taxed worse..

Cheers Coedy, seem the frame has not moved as the radius was ripped of traveled under the car, so took the rear quarter secrion with it. Will measure the frame but seems it has not moved.. this frame was put in 2 years ago by a body shop my dad used in cricklade, what a ripoff artist they havent even prepped the frame properly.. rusted to bugger and the car has only dobe 800 miles since fitted. will be having words with them when i return the car !!!!

ah that's fine then! like you said, just measure from something at the front to the back on both sides 2 years isn't very long for a rear subby at all.....

If your unsure of anything I'd be happy to pop over and have a look if you want, far from an expert but you could use my car as a guide to see how far things have moved,

hi there it looks quite a nasty repair made worse by having to sort out the rusty area aswell as the bent area , the subframe may not have moved but may still have twisted it looks as if it was a scary bump with quite an impact, approx costs for repair will be quite high as 2 new panels will be required this is before stripping has taken place which will more than likely show other areas that are rusty/damaged. we are located in pembrokeshire also but if you need any advice then just give us a call mike 01646 699330
