Apparently we don't have room for me to buy a Mini, so lets see how long it takes the parents to find room, while I pout.
I've stashed myself away in my room with the laptop, me ipod and my blackberry, bottles of pop and munchies, I shall be up at half five in the morning to play music, loudly!
Shame on them..

They think that buying me, the 50th anniversary model, and a clock is enough? Oh the worst insult was the mini keyring, with NO keys, as soon as my mother comes on MSN abuse much

I kept crashing my much loved first Mini and as my as much as they begged me to buy a bigger car, I refused and I'm still driving a Mini 25 years later. Ha.
I can remember them also begging me not to take a few mates to the Beaulieu autojumble in the Summer of 1985, because my Dad claimed my Mini (1975 MK3 Mini 1000) wasn't up to it.
After a blazing row with me pointing out the fact I was by then 18 and I'd do what I like. The mega trip did take place and my faithful Mini got us there and back without drama.
Then it broke down at the end of our street later that same day whilst my sister borrowed it to get a takeaway. Nothing serious, just the points and condenser needed sorting.
Amazing though, because I didn't have any breakdown cover at the time and God knows how I'd have managed if it had happened in Beaulieu or wherever.
Minis are faithful friends if you look after them (although I knew nothing about points or dizzy caps etc back then).
