if it is a genuine mg lump then its the most powerfull na engine made. it should be around the 72bhp mark. as for more power its the same as all engines get it to flow well i.e k&n, lcb manifold decent exhaust. then its things like uprated heads followed by cams then rebores lighterning etc etc.

first thing to do is to find out if your engine is a genuine mg as its a good platform to stsrt from
