When all is said & done the Swiftune SW5 is probably one of the best cams on the market because it works with whatever type of engine & spec you decide to use with bags of low down torque. That is the cam i hope to use in the Woody engine when i get it up and running.

So I picked up a copy of Mini Sports catalogue at the show and in there is a listing of there own Road/Rally cam (731) which refers to your link Paul.
Or the SW5, what cc are you going for Dai???

I've got a spare 1300GT motor somewhere, On second thoughts i might use the engine out of the 68 mini. It seems to go fairly well,

A spare 1300GT engine what other spare but rare items do you have kicking about at Dai9fsay Towers?

you could of course go the whole hog with the ultimate 998 motor by sticking a 12G940 (standard 1275) head on . You would have to machine the block to accept the bigger valves. With a couple of other small mods ie cam etc you could easily outpace a standard 1275 mini. Keith Calver did an in depth build of one of these motors in MINI Magazine a few years back, with awesome results,
