i have just fitted another dashboard in the car , it is the one that is fitted to the mini 40 Le and the 500's the problem i have is the hole that the radio fits into. now the old dash that i took out, which was also the alloy one (genuine ) the radio fitted as it should and the radio surround hid the edge of the hole making a nice fit the new dash different story the hole for the radio is slightly bigger, on the length and the width but only half way in its depth (that being the thickness of the dash itself ) my question is does an orginal equipment radio have a different surround that fits into the hole first then the radio fits into that or is the rover radio wider and thicker anyway... gareth
