i have inherited a 1380 trackday mini, but want to make legal so i can have some fun on the road and also drive to track days.
trouble is the engine is race tuned and theres no way it'll pass emissions test as it is!
seems a shame to mess with a lovely balanced beast of a lump, but failing a sympathetic mot tester i presume a de-tune will be required to get it through....? any recommendations?
on the same vain, i've recently moved to abergavenny and need to find a good garage/mechanic in the area.. again any recommendations?

Can't help with the garage part, but what year is the mini? you may be lucky and get away with just a visable smoke test

as phil said, what year is the mini?
it could be possible to fit mappable ignition which not only has a performance gain but some systems like megajolt allow you to switch between maps so you could have your performance map and then a MOT map to help with emissions
