Hi Danni
You posted this on the Acidminis forum and I thought some guys here may also be able to help.
Heya
Just wondering if anyone knew where i could get my car totally painted/resprayed .. because the old owner painted the new panels on the car with average house paint..!
Does anyone know of a place and a average good price for it to be done ?

I've got to do the driver side A panel. The previous owner had a slight knock in tescos car park. Would that cost much?

The problem as i see it with only painting a panel, EG: door, bonnet, boot, rather than a full spray job is colour matching. It is extremely unlikely, unless the paint already on the car is fairly new,IE: not faded etc, that a newly sprayed panel will match up with whats already on the car. I do know that you can have an aerosol sized spraycan mixed to your original colour, which usually cost no more than about £15 at the most. An apex panel though, should be easy enough to match the adjacent panels.

Dai, the paint is 4 years old. Its black now. was white originally.
Would aerosols do a good job though?

IF it's only the apex panel You're doing and you know the exact colour black you've got, i can't see it being too much of a problem.Try not to get all the paint on in one go. IE: build the thickness up with a few coats.
