My laptop has died bigtime I'm panicking a bit as it has a load of info / contacts on there for the show Any advice on getting the info from the hard drive onto another computer?

can you take the hardrive out of the laptop and put into an external hardrive case and plug it into another computer and save all the info onto that computer

or install it as a slave (secondary) drive in your pc, you may get a problem if you have a windows password but theres a way to force your way around that

Not yet I'm waiting for the part Ju suggested and have to pinch the daughters laptop when ever I can for now

Phil, If you can get up to Maesteg at any point, I can remove my drive from it's caddy and have a go getting your info off if you like. Let me know if thats any good to you. Lyn
