went to go get a chinese tonight turnned the lights on and went to start it and every thing cut out, checked all the fuses nothing worked, then rang my dad and said to try the battery terminals, gave them a wiggle and fired straight away so i know next time :L

aslong as you learn it for next time, usually get those type of phone calls from my son bout 6.30am grrrrrrrrr lol glad it an easy fix for you

Also. my dad always says to me to start the car with everything off. Seems to make it easier to start

Seems to make it easier to start wont make any diffrence as the main relay ( post 84) cuts power to every thing other than the coil and starter when cranking. hence why you have to use the white/pink coil +12v as a supply for megajolt

Glad it's running fine again, but it'd be wise to not switch your headlights on prior to starting her up.
In fact it's best to not have anything else electrical running when you start the car, because it takes a great deal of energy from the battery.

ha ha mine always does this! usually because i forget to tighten the terminals up again! funny though when you turn the key and nothing happens i usually get that *i hope we havent broke down again* look from my girl friend at which point i tend to have a little pray then scrurry round to the back to check the battery is on tight :-) usually does the trick!

Is your battery secured by the bracket? If it was, then the terminals shouldn't come loose?
