I can't quite imagine how it would increase power? It has nothing to do with the engine.

It would perhaps lower the weight slightly, and as it says reduce frontal area perhaps, would make sense if there was less drag. However I doubt the effects would really be noticeable

I'm happy to be proved wrong mind.
