Clubman clutch

Having problems with the clutch on my 1979 clubman (Kermit).
I have changed literally every component on the clutch system; plate, diaphram, plunger, release bearing, arm, pushrod, new clevis pins throughout, Slave and master cylinders and i am still having trouble getting gears. Especially 1st and reverse! Can anyone shed some light on possible problems? I have tried adjusting the throw out and return stop as per the Haynes bible but to no avail. Please help?

got the same problem on mine been told that the arm is not long enough and i am having one made, hopefully will do the trick,apparently the clutch isnt engaging all the way [ i know nothing my mate locally who is mini 7 days a week mad told me ] - vb
