I have an electronic distributor in the garage that i had in my 998 engine, will it work in a 1100 engine and if so is it as simple as take the old one out and fit this one in? or is there more involved than that?
thanks jamie

The 1100 is an A series engine and i should imagine your 998 is an A plus motor. The dizzy you have should only suit the A plus engines. I think you have to change the dizzy driveshaft amongst other things.

thanks! i wouldnt know whether its an Aplus etc the 998 was from a 1991 mini city and the 1100 engine is from a 1976 clubman so im guessing its a no go, what do you think about the electronic kits you can buy that sit inside the distributor cap are they anygood?

I've not heard anything bad about them and they are sure to be better than the points set up any day. There's a couple of places on ebay that sells the kits for less than £30. Bargain.

Yup, that's the one. Make sure it's the correct one for your dizzy. They do the kits for all types of dizzy.
