Looks a really good idea. the magnet in the sump plug catches some bits but its a bit late by then to filter them out...

Must say though.. they look a bit... silly...

If you don't want the bright blue and yellow look or the (relatively) high price..

But those things are pretttyyy dangerous... people lose tips of fingers all the time with the bigger ones.

Just stick those to the outside of the oil filter, pry them off when the oil change is due, slap them on the new one.

To be honest its not gonna make a huge difference as Austin/morris in their wisdom put the oil filter after the oil pump which means any thing caught by the filter (and those magnets) has already passed though the pump.

Cheaper one if anyone wants it. I'll probably give it a miss anyway, will give me a kick up the arse to try and remember to keep changing my oil instead.

Only downside is it make take up to a month to get to you looking at the shipping times... lol
