think its normally about 10-15% discount. looking at the members lists it doesnt seem like we have a member number it just goes on our user name

I get 10% discount on my MGB Classic Insurance through being a member of either The MG Owners Club or The MG Car Club. Both clubs give you a membership number on a Certificate when you join and the Insurance company ask for this number before they will give you the discount on the premium. Dont know if just mentioning being a Forum member will have the same result but no harm in giving it a try.

we are insured with classic line insurers based in leicester, found them really good to deal with and knowledgeable about modifications etc. told them we were members on a club forum which they took into account with the premium, £250 gets us full comp, agreed value, 5000 miles etc. so ,as jb jnr is only 21 and most insurers wouldn`t touch us both on the same policy I think it`s a cracking deal

Both the MGOC & MGCC are national (International) Clubs which have separate forums as part of the "Club" facilities. I seem to remember reading something about them negotiating discounts with Parts Suppliers and Insurance Companies for the benefit of Club Members. Still got to be worth mentioning SWM membership to the Insurance though. "If you don't ask, you don't get!"

i think you'll find footman james will ask for membership of british mini club. that was what they told us when we insured our cooper. it was the only way we could get agreed value cos the car is only 10years old

I changed from Aviva this year, they quoted me £550 without mods (up £150 from last year). Now with heritage they quoted me £207 with mods, track day cover, agreed value and breakdown.
