LJones, I am asking you about anti-freeze... Anti-freeze? Haha. She's low on oil though boys, worried something is wrong since the guy I bought it off said it was recently serviced... I hope he was just lying otherwise there might be a leak or something.

its nothing to worry about, just mr hunt thought it was funny that i forgot to put it in mine so i was then out side in the snow draining the water and adding anti-freeze. oh and the water might have frozen a bit aswell

Will normal engine oil be fine in my car? Coop Dog reckons it'll mess it all up but my granddad reckons normal's fine.

20w50 mineral oil you want. Any thinner and it will leak out everywhere and not protect anything... and if its synthetic it damages your gearbox. Hence you want mineral oil.

My mother has 10w40 semi-synthetic, I presume that's not right. =/ Have to see if my granddad has the right one now then!

I can recommend using Castrol GTX if you have to go get some Sam. It has always had 'good press' for use in Classic Cars

I'm still pretty uninformed about all this car business too, so will I have to have the oil currently in there (which there ain't much of, trust me) drained before I put in the new stuff?
