For sale - Tamiya TL-01 RC Car, 2 Bodyshells and Spares.
Comes with 2 bodies a Merc AMG and Audi Touring car, the Merc is tatty but all together (excluding a wingmirror lol) and the Audi is fine bar the rear window decal having a crease in it.. doh... In fact it doesn't even look used.
Its got the Chasis and all the gubbins, in good condition which also has some upgrades
(the person I bought these off a few months ago used to race it), Stiffer springs on the dampers, Metal prop shaft (instead of plastic), the Speed controller has been upgraded to a Nosram unit that is forward and brake (so excludes reverse, slamming the stick back into reverse locks up the motor temporarily to help slow down), and the Motor has been upgraded for even more speed!Also comes with the controller,
3 sets of wheels (1 set are unused with new tyres for the Audi shell),
The original motor,
and an on/off switch (will have to be soldered in if you want to use it, I just used the battery cable as its on/off
).The tyres fitted in the pics have insulation tape wrapped around them for ghetto drifting ;D(I also locked up the rear differential for more sideways fun, and it Drifted very well!
).(you can get proper solid drift tyres cheaply from ebay if you want to go the whole hog).
Through lack of use though its got a duff battery, well, I don't know if its dead or not charging fully? Replacements are around £10-£20 depending if you want a high performance one.
Also I broke the charger (stepped on it) so would need a new one.(£5 on ebay)
There is a new RC shop in Swansea btw
Baring those few issues in mind but the amount there is Its cheap so that I am able to go get Xmas presents ;D lol.
