Sebz said she is up for sorting out the show entries And just keep the runs to the organiser of said run to organise? (Eg, Dai9fsay I think it was organised a run down to St.Davids last year or the year before, he sorted out the route, chose a weekend and people put their names down and turned up on the day. That way the organiser can work out convoy times if people are meeting up along the way That way it means there will be lots of smaller runs (hopefully) all across S.Wales? so will mean people shouldnt have to go too far if they dont want to to find their nearest one Of course there could be larger pre-organised runs that staff members or 'regulars' arrange and Rolling road days, Go kart days and that sort of thing but I mean if you fancy showing everyone a 'Mini road' near by and know of a pub with good grub, or there is a good chippy near then by all means choose a date, post up in the upcoming events/show thread, and see who turns up! Edit- Hadn't spotted AZ's post. He knows whats going on ;D lol

We need a BBQ where I cook food, and everyone saves me a job and fixes my mini haha I like the idea of fix it days, I suggested them when I first joined but nothing came of it. The idea is the owner creates a list of things that need doing and buys the parts ready. Then on an certain day other members rock up with a few tools and between them do the jobs and the owner puts on food and as much tea as they want. I Know a few clubs do this sort of thing on a regular basis

Could be an interesting day if one of those went ahead...
I imagine it would become a bit mental having 10+ people all huddled around one bolt lol! ;D

I helped out a member with fitting his new engine. Turned out there were another 2 members there as well. Got to meet the other members and got to learn the finer points of chucking in a engine..(Literally chucking it in, the lift went a bit fast! ;D) I enjoyed though! I don't know much so doubt I'd be much help though Its handy to learn stuff (I have Two subframes due to get swapped in Spring.. *hint hint* lol )

I'd go for a learning/fixing day! My mini desperately needs work and I really need to learn!
Although as much as I'd love it for you all to come fix my mini for me... Maybe an idea could be if someone know's how to do something specific on their mini they could show everyone else how? Could take it in turns? We'd all learn something and we'd get to meet up too! Kind of like work shop days?

I agree! Good to see members not letting things get boring! ;D lol. Last time there was a RR day it was at the end of summer, which is good because people buy go faster bits at shows Last RR day was in Wilfeilds? think thats the name? Another member has told my parents previously about another Mini friendly one though so we could be spoilt for choice! lol

Many Mini Clubs have a once a month get together in a local pub,for a chat and a drink. Is there any mileage in this idea for our club?

Many Mini Clubs have a once a month get together in a local pub,for a chat and a drink. Is there any mileage in this idea for our club? i think the main problem is all the members are so spread out finding one location to suit every one would be a pain and result in people travelling a fair distance every time. i cant remember who suggested it but the idea was we split it into sections i.e west Wales, Swansea, Cardiff and Newport and each area take it in turns to hold the gathering that way its much more spread around and more convenient for people

I dont think its so much about getting people back to the club more about how to get the members who are here to take a more active role in the forum ....... and thats what seems to be happening of late.
