making a dash and a heelboard for a friends Mini The dash not all the right clocks fitted yet , but you get the idea! The heelboard Heelboard with a twist! Holders for up to 20 CD's or mp3's !!! and a 12v accessory skt as well Speakers are recessed to avoid "heel" damage from any back seat passenger(s) ! The finished heelboard will be sprayed grey to match the cars interior trim. My recovered dash Was a mahogany veneer dash but the veneer split so recovered it with black vinyl to match the rest of the cars interior

Lovely bit of carpentry, One thing though, Dont slam your brakes on or your CD's will be launched everywhere

The CD's are stored sloping upwards at the front, which makes therm less likely to fly out and easier to extract the one you want when changing music

The 12v skt is in a great place to if you need to recharge your mobile or mp3 (while kept underneath the front seat!) By using a 12v extension skt a satnav or road angel can also be easily used on the dash

Sarnies in one and flask of coffee in the other? ;D If you were to fit 2 doors over the openings it would be an ideal extra place to store something like mobile phone or mp3 players or any "valuables" out of sight as well. The possibilities are endless!

The possibilities are endless! yep and for some one who has some extra steel work in the rear (roll cage) the rear bins are pretty useless so those recesses are a good option. get some plans drawn up and flog them on ebay

Will see just how well it fits when I get my mates Mini down here. It may need the odd "adjustment" with a hammer or a saw but I'm pretty sure its not far away from fitting properly.
I've shaped the top edge too so that it allows for the angle of the underside of the rear seat base.
