Hey guys,
It probably been discussed before but is any one else having trouble getting into their mini? I am having to take a flask of hot water down to my car in the morning and pour it over the locks to get into it every morning or night lol, and thats seeming to become increasingly difficult as time is going by,
Do I need new locks or need to move to warmer climates? I hear Siberia is lovely and mild this time of year?
cheers guys
Ainz

Next time you have used the "Hot water" squirt some WD40 directly into the lock through the key slot then work the key in the lock a few times to ensure the WD gets where it needs to. Not saying it will make your locks ice free but it will at least help with the lubrication of the workings. Mini locks weren't designed for vehicles in Siberia tho! ;D

Be careful not to get anti-freeze on your paintwork!! Good point! WD just wipes off (maybe with the help of a little polish!)

Mine locked up a month or so ago, where I had to leave to get to work, I ended up standing with my a** against the door for 5 minutes, eventually getting in but the door wouldn't catch shut. Then I drove to work with the belt through the inside handle hoping it would shut when I got there, to find that it didn't. I then drove home.
Minis... *rolls eyes*

I just Breathe onto it for a while, Freezes back up a bit when you come to lock it but just do it again. ;D
