I've always wanted to learn, spent 3 years in aberystwyth where Welsh is spoken a lot and still not picked up much.
Maybe its about time I made the effort to learn properly

Ahh nahh I probably could of got somewhere with it, but in Merthyr learning welsh is considered uncool "/

fluent speaker here.
not many of us about in South Wales tho, even less where I live now in Sheffield! always glad/ proud of it tho, and try to use it as much as I can.

it depend swhat kind of welsh lol
valley welsh and local welsh to my area etc im fluent speak it everyday but welsh thats taught not so fluent lol but that comes from bieng brought up in a little village of welsh speakers lol

my welsh teacher was from Mold in north Wales so when it come to teaching us there where slight differences in pronunciation etc which just confused us more

Our Welsh lessons consisted of throwing glue sticks in the air trying to get them to stick to the roof..
