Nah I think mine's around 70. I hate pushing it higher than that, feels like the engine will pop!

Mine won't go much above 55 before it starts shouting at me. Got into a bit of a race once down a hill, hit 75! Jeff still hasn't forgiven me for that one lol

A "well sorted" 998 should be happy at 65 -70 all day long Had a Mini 30 that was a pleasure to drive at those speeds Took my 1380s to 120ish once - "brown trouser time"

I don't think Id wanna take mine on the motorway, I'd feel so inferior ha.. from Town to my house its easier to pop up the A470 but I'd rather drive all the way back through Merthyr tbh..

Not just that it feels like your doing 120mph when your only doing 60.. I've been in fast cars, Ive been in a Type R going the wrong way round the A470 roundabout at Cefn heading to Brecon.. But nothing put a smile on my face like the day I was shotgun in my Mini..

its the same thing all the time and its just straight roads you can rdrive with your eyes closed(not addvised!) and if your really really lucky you get caught in a traffic jam for like 2 hours!!! grrr
so yer us too lj dad hates them too and only uses them as a last resort or for short runs to cardiff etc think he still thinks he hes his cortina and tries drive like a rallydriver doesnt really work in a fiat panda tho:P

Yeah I much prefer country roads, I often get the mother bear to go for drives, she likes finding canals and stuff.. err.. but it means country roads.. but in an Astra Estate it just isn't as good!
