What are the rule changes this year? F-ducts gone? is that battery thing back? (looks like a battery on the in car overlay...kinetic something something?)
I know they are limited to the smaller engine sizes this year... so should be as interesting as last year got.. I hope...

1.6? Are you serious? they are going backwards not forwards with all these rule changes.. seems funny how mercs and Ferrari are going to race with such a small engine though thought they were all about the big engines and the v engines .

But back in the old era wasn't it no holes barred sort of action? the engines sizes are in comparison to formula Renault now ain't they? don't get me wrong I'm going to watch what I can off it but it would be nice to hear the V10's or 8's again.

The problem is with F1 is the lack of overtacking making it boring. Weve all been saying it for years and i know the continously change the rules to try and imporve it. But is small engines, huuuuge downforce and no re-fuelling really the way to go? um..........................NO! Its sad that im gonna have to pray for rain just to make it worth watching!

Think it went a bit group B rally... They saw how huge power, overtaking, and driver determination went and since then they've slowly been dialling it back...
Monaco is always a fantastic watch though... ;D

I don't understand why the team let him go out on a rally stage this close to the beginning of the season. The Mclaren looks nice though

They aren't using the 1.6 turbos this year.
The major changes this year are the reintroduction of KERS, banning of the f-duct, movable rear wing.
2012 sees the return of ground effects and 1.6 turbos.
Don't know why people think the 1.6 turbos will be worse. I highly doubt there will be much if any power loss. They are talking of aiming for 750bhp from them.
What we need is worse brakes, so drivers can overtake. and less dirty air being passed over the cars.
The McLaren and the Renault look to be the most innovative so far.
With the Pirellis reported to have a high degradation rate I personally think the season looks promising for Button, which should please some people here.

Is that official? I know he was first in the lineup of their 5 (ridiculous), or something, reserve drivers - but with Kubica looking to be out of the sport for awhile they might want to look elsewhere.
I'd be trying to get someone from another team or something. Heidfeld or someone like that.
