To stop a Mini with a V-Tec engine you would need to have 4 pot calipers and vented discs at least. The metro turbo front disc set up is a popular mod, but they tend to widen the front track and you would need to change the ball joints to suit the standard Mini bottom and top arms if you manage to find a later set. The steering arms would also need changing for Mini items. You could use 12 inch disc hubs then buy alloy 4 pot calipers to suit 8.4 inch vented discs.

The other way to fit metro calipers is to get hold of a standard 12" set up and then use the metro calipers, but you have to use the era bolts and metro flange

I don't think you could even give away a standard drum set up.

have thought about trying to get a cheap metro, as you'll have the full front setup then really.... or not a good idea?

Using the metro hubs etc throws the front geometry out. If it where me standard mini hubs but with alloy 4 pots

With the 84' after setup, the fronts are an inch wider than with drums, hence why they used spacered drums on the rear (little fact I picked up from lawson ) I will most likely be selling my 4 pots when I pick up le' new mini
