Overkill with a capital O I'm afraid. Your compression ratios will be far too high because the chamber volume on that head is 21.4cc while the 998 head volume is 25.5cc. Not a practical head to have on a 998 sadly.

The 12g940 head ( standard 1275) also has a chamber size of 21.4cc and plenty of people use it with no problem, the higher compression ratio adds a bit of power but you might have to run shell optimax etc to avoid pinking and the engine killing itself. The standard 1275 valves are as big as you need on a 998

I assume a 1275 head on a 998 is like a Stage 2/3?
