Like ive said on a differet thread im off to the rolling road in abercynon tomorrow and was wondering what is the expected bhp for a standard 9998cc i.e. what did rover say it would do. Just wanted to know so id get an idea of how much the tuned stage 1 would give me extra.
Thanks

Standard 998 should be around the 40bhp mark. tommys rollers do seem to over read a fair bit though

I had 51.5 bhp when I went up to him with a 998 with stage one kit.

maybe he's had them calibrated since i was there last he had a grass track mini on the rollers 998 bog standard (has got to be for grass track group etc) and it was 58bhp on the tuning front i would not trust him with a bag of chips, but thats just my experience, i know a few people who praise him and an equal amount that wont be going back. id love to say he wasnt up to speed with megajolt etc but when i took mine it was just to get the carb set up. the laptop didnt even leave the house any way back on subject, rough power figures from rover 998- 40-42 1275 - 50-55 1275 cooper - 60-62 cooper S & 1275 GT - about 70

Your not filling me with confidence here :/ When i say tuning i dont want to screw every ounce of power out of it as is possible. I just want it to be economical but with a bit of grunt (hence the stage 1).
