My original square shaped relay has Lucas stamped on it, so I can't really complain, even if some claim it stands for: -
Lots of Unconnected Crap And Solder.

changed my fuse box today which i should ahve done a long time ago after looking at all the connectors! thanks for the advice! should be well worth the money now and work much better then the other.

Got my new hazard relay this morning and I'm back in business with working warning lights. Thanks JC, you were right again.

Thats only because the exact same problem has happened to me in the past and the brain cells that remember that bit haven't been killed off yet!................but I'm sure its only a matter of time!!!!

Well for me it's mostly a case of 'done that, been there and got the T-shirt'. I can't believe how much I've picked up over the years and perhaps with age comes wisdom, because I was totally clueless when I first started driving.

im having sort of the same problem as emmab but its only the full beam that wont work! i have also replaced the whole sealed beam unit with halogens and still no luck little help needed

Have you checked the rubber connecting block for the headlamp circuit. It should be under or behind the bonnet slam panel. Have a fiddle with all the cables that go into it, IE, pull them out and check to see if there is a good connection.

must be the weather...lol....my lights failed tonight and took out the fusebox, one in line fuse and melted some wire....not happy put a new fuse box in it and tidied up the wiring have got everything except dip beam.....joys of minis
