This is my mini, I've had it for about 7 years I had to leave it standard when I first got it for the insurance then I drifted away from the mini scene for a few years when I was at uni in Lougborough and my parents could pick me up so I stopped driving to save money, then I started uni at Swansea and ended up buying a bigger car so I could fit all my stuff in and be comfortable on the 250-300 mile journey form Yorkshire. It didn't take me long to get bored of it though and want the mini back so I got rid of it and now I'm back in the mini. I want to get a stage one kit and a set of alloys on it but I can't put them on untill my insurance runs out in the summer and I can switch to a specilist who will cover the mods.

The car atm basically standard apart from the ice and mini ritz rear seats (due to a thermal event when welding). The bodywork is getting tatty now I'm half way through getting rid of some of it so I'm going through lots of filler and hammerite, I've got 3 weeks of holiday to try and get it looking presentable and try to get the paint to match. (I think its land rover marine blue but if anyone else knows otherwise let me know) The main parts will have to wait another year untill I finish uni and can justify spending money of getting it sorted properly. Mechanically its fairly sound I've just had electronic ignition fittied and its never run better.

I'll get some more pics on when I work out how to do it.

ICE install finished ;D Its a 10 speaker system with a 1300W amp. I've got a sub mounted under both front seats so you can really feel the bass

I've also got round to getting rid of the white hammerite along the side and front that on some of the pics and will be painting it body coloured this weekend if everything goes well. I found the crossbeams on the bonnet had rusted away so I got them welded back on which burnt the bonnet stiripes so they've gone now and I've also debadged it while the bonnet was off.

I've bought a new set of alloys (cheers dai9fsay) which I'll be refurbing myself and painting them white.

I've got a week and a half now to try and finish it all off before I'm back in Swansea for uni
