The Inlets look to be too rough ie: not ported. At a guess I would say it was standard Gav.

ok cheers boyos i was wondering because they looked so rough that somebody had gone diy with it and ballsed it up , going to clean up the ports and paint it up today ready for sale to make some money for the engine build , dose anybody have a 12g940 head lying around they want to part with ? cheers gav

And you did all that with a Dremel. Fair play. Are you taking the measurements etc from the Vizard book.? Concensus says, with a small bore engine not to make the inlet ports too big otherwise you lose some torque. The 12G295 Cooper head is probably the best small bore head you can get even in standard form.

yes dai a dremel and when it died i braught the power drill out , yeas working from vizards book and some tips i read on the internet , generaly smoothing out any sharp edges that rediuce flow and 'slightly' increasing bore , have yet to finish it need to get the valve guides out to make it easier to work around the valve , i think im going to pop this head on my auto engine thats in the mini now when im done to see how it goes , bit of power increase untill i finishe the engine build
