Hey.
I am trying to fit a temp sender to my engine, came up with the idea (with help) of tapping it into my thermostat housing.
i am looking to fit the sender that normally goes into the head, the single cable, spade conector type. Simon@minispares is going to look at work to see if he has the size, but does anyone here happen to know, what size tap I need to thread the sandwich plate to fit the sender?

why not just buy the later type thermo housing with it threaded in ready, as it has extra metal around the area to strengthen it.

Because the later type has a differnt type of sender... My wiring loom is for the single cable, in head type sender... whereas the later type is a metric thread, and has a funny "quick" conector.

Seen the price for that though...
I'd rather try and make my own lol

Below is a pic of the standard single wire sender unit. You may struggle to seal the temp sender properly because when i checked the head the threaded hole has a step in it and is also tapered which is your method of sealing the sender unit. Hope this helps Dog.
