i have a white... well i think its ment to be white headlinging.. its gathered dirt and i have tried cleaning it but u can still isee black marks here n there.. anyone got any suggestion as to what will make it look good as new again?

This may sound really dumb, but ..................... nick some of Lukes shaving foam and use it on the headlining Ive tried this and it works!!!!!!! jc

Whatever you do Corina, use Phils shaving foam but DON'T USE VEET!!!!!
You wont have any headlining left!!!!!

Shaving cream for headlinings, olive oil for decals, vinegar for rust removal We will have our own brand of car care products soon ;D pmsl you might of hit on an idea there mate

can i add an idea....chicken fat it excellent for getting engine oil out of clothing....byron got some on brand new jeans....it worked a treat....

I've used white shoe polish on headlining in the past (the type in a bottle with a sponge attached (oldies may remember using it on white daps???) but then you have got to do the complete headlining - it takes a while but loooks good!

but would you be left with chicken fat on your jeans then ? apply to jeans + rub it in etc + put in washing machine, does actually work very well as i found out

I've also heard that some people have used thinners to get really stubborn stains out of their headlining.
It's not so good if you have MKI patterned headlining though as it will remove the colour from the brocade.
