Right. Ive prepped my front end properly ready for the respray ive got a new boot which ive sprayed white and a new bonnet in fibre glass white. So itll be a green machine with white roof bonnet and boot. Maybe do the wheels and arches next. Anyway...
Question... How do i attach my new bonnet. Thinking about pins? or straps? its literally a fiber glass skin
right now my thoughts are...
get some SS brackets no more nails em to the bonnet underside and use original hinges. Then, on the front attach some leather straps or rubber hooks. to hold it down..
any other suggestions. want it to look good but also be practical.

hmm nice idea, don't like the look of the locking bonnet pins but i guess they are more sensible than normal ones. At the front im leaning towards traditional leather straps but im having trouble finding ones that are like a foot long. I want to attach the top half on the bonnet usual spot then feed em through the grill to attach inside along the solid sill at the bottom of the grill.
Hard to explain but hidden inside where they just pop out of the grill at about the 7th slot then attach to the usual place on the front.
