I'm assuming you have an SU carb fitted

Take a look in the Engines and Tuning section at a thread titled "SU needle selection".
There is a link to a site where you can select a "richer" needle to solve your problem.
You will need to know what needle is fitted in the carb at the moment tho - easy to find out - 5 minute job

That's what is supplied with stage one kits
