Jemyt has just has a diagnosis that the bottom end is shot with no prior warning.., as the oil presure is near zero at idle and even at 3000rpm is way low. what could cause this and how can I get the presure up to drive him back from Swindon for a refurb,,,

Join the AA or RAC and get the "relay" option Then get brought back on the back of one of their wagons !!! ;D ;D ;D Not much else you can do with zero oil pressure!!!!!

Got to be worth a try at least. Although it wont make the engine any better Do you have any means of getting it towed back I'd keep the numbers for the AA & RAC handy tho!

if it helps I have an A Frame and light board ya can have a lend of it's a non braked version but it's a pro job that I used it to tow a LWB Transit from Manchester home to Llanelli for my brother so no need for anyone to sit in the towed car to steer just leave the key in the ignition so as to free the steering lock and off ya go I'll show you how to attach it if it's required ,,,, let me know regards Tony
