well i managed to get the sidelights working with help off someone, we checked all the fuses, we checked the switch and we know the lights actually work. we've checked most of the connections. but how do i get power to go to the headlights?? it just seems like a massive mystery to us.

Take it to a garage if its to complicated mate , any proper mechanic will diagnose the problem with a multimeter in minutes so won't cost you much , or have a go yourself

ye we used a test lamp. there was power going through the fuse box and wwwhere the cables attach too.
