You wouldn't go far wrong with Minispares gear Phill. My old rally motor was pushing out about 124 horses at the flywheel on a good day (about 94 at the wheels) and i used a standard plate with an Orange diaphragm. Not once did I have a clutch problem and that poor car was thrashed mercilessly. The plate and diaphragm was changed at least once a year or when any wear was noticeable though. What's called Preventative Maintenance.

You would probably need a Grey Diaphragm at least with those horses. Clutch release bearings are causing headaches at the moment because the currently available ones are not as good as the old stock BMC / Leyland type. Sometimes new old stock ones turn up on Ebay though.

Oh, and before I forget the thrust plate the bearing presses on when you engage the clutch has been causing problems as well. It seems that the thrust plate on some clutch kits has not gone through the hardening process which in turn leads to excess wear in the plate which in turn bugge#s the bearing up. A good properly treated thrust plate when attacked with a file should show little or no file marks whereas the bad ones will be softer and leave metal filings.
