Hello all im new here and on the search for a mini funny enough  been looking for a few months now been to see a few but just werent the right ones or were askign to much. basicly after any mini in a good condition as will be used as an every day car as will see my curent car one i have a mini. engine size isnt a problem but needs to be manuel. body work to bee in good condition dont mine one or two bits of bubbling. intereior to be resanoble. i do have a budget of arount £2400 and if posible would px my car(vauxhall corsa 1.0l 51plate) and cash for a mini also i live in haverfordwest pembrokeshire so dont want to travel to far away thanks alex |

hi the car looks nice but not sure on the carbon wrap whts the body like underneath and also what would you want for it also does it run ok and does it have tax and mot if so how much

what do you guys think to the last one red cooper and yes hasve seen them all even went to look at it but think thier asking way over the odds for with no mot and needs a whole exhuast system as the flex has gone and back box is dead as well

Mileage is rather high as is the price.  Especially for a car without a current MOT. It sounds like a new exhaust system is needed  As long as the bodywork isnt too bad it might be a reasonable buy..... ..... at the right price of course. jd |

The N registered minis are supposed to be the better produced body shells that came out of the Longbridge plant. They are not prone to rusting as much as earlier and later shells. Having said that though, it's still a Mini and will rust, but at a slower rate depending on how well it has been looked after by previous owners. I think that particular Mini is an SPI, single point injection so any chance of tinkering with the carb etc is usually beyond the abilities of the DIY mechanic. The rest of the Mini, mechanical wise is as per usual Mini. Because the car has been standing there's a good chance the brakes will need attention and any rubber parts such as CV boots, steering rack gaiters etc may well have perished. It may cost upwards of £400 to get the Mini back on the road with an MOT. In my opinion it's a nice enough Mini, but as you say, without an MOT and unknown expenditure to get it through an MOT it's a bit of a gamble. You may have to get down and dirty and give it a thorough check up by jacking it up and checking the underside, making a list of any parts that are needed for an MOT in the process. Good luck.  |

well as you can see formt he pics the bonnet is damaged but a new one with it which needs respray but also the winges need respray as the pain is cracking as if it hadnt been danded down prperly bew for a respray but aprat from that its realy nice but aprantly the guy had had a few engine probelms with it which i found out form another mate.

also just found out that i went to school with the boy who is sellign it so he might be willing to come down on price and also let me give it a proper going over like you said jack it up and do full under car check

I got one coming up for sale its a 1380 rally preped but going to pull most of the rally stuff off it and just leave cage seat and hydrolic in it
