Hey Guys! How things been? I am having this horrible feeling that I'm going to have to sell up the Purple Pimple this month!  it makes me feel so so so so sad! I really dont want to, but I cant afford her at the moment. But the plan is to buy a project in July/August next year when I have a load of work on once finishing uni! I'm really going to miss her, as she's mine and how I wanted her to be!  Will keep you posted though! Also I got her valued by BMC at £2500, does this sound about right? |

One think though, the bmc does valuation for insurance purposes it isn't really best to base your for sale price on that.
Compare it to what's currently out there for sale to get a base price.
Really sad it has to go though... :-(

Sad times indeed. If you do decide to sell and buy yourself a project next year at least you'll have a blank canvas to start with. Is it that quote for changing the head gasket that has pushed you towards selling your pride and joy.? |

So I've sdecided to man up and keep it for a bit longer. got everything sorted now. the valve between 2 and 3 had gone.
and then as soon as i got that sorted my indicator flasher unit went so i had to try and source one of them, which i got luckily!!!
i do love my mini but after uni i have a job with a production company which involves a lot of travel. so a project mini is in the books.

At least you've got the Mini running again which is a good thing.  . There's quite a few members on here that have the same dilemma regarding the need for a reliable road car for work / travel. Imagine it, this time next year you will be hard at work on the project Mini..  |

So as I said before I'm gunna be selling the mini in March/April time. I am trying to work out a sale price for her. If you guys could help that would be ace! I had her value by BMC for £2500 but i know thats for insurance purposes. She is a Rover Mini 35 80,000 miles Very little rust with no structural rust. Monte Carlo leather door cards 12" Mini lites Wood and Pickett colour matched arches new valves new head gasket new inner and outer sills no leaks anything else you guys need to know?? Thanks  |
