Changed my front flange for a new one as a couple of my old studs were getting loose in the flange
In the new flange the studs are about 8mm shorter than the old ones. I now have standard 30-32mm studs in the new flange as opposed to 35-40mm
Not a problem except im using revolution wheels 12 * 5 and wonder is it safe as im not sure the nuts will be gripping the stud enough. Some people say 8 full turns is minimum.
Any input would be great!

yer your right dont want to downgrade really.
im gonna spot weld the studs on the original flange from behind onto the flange so they cant spin.as it is the new flange is fine for steelies bt if i want my alloys back on ill need the longer studs seccured.all this because i put brand new studs in about 6 months ago.
Does make u think tho.anyone can buy minilites or revos and not once anywhere does it say u need to get longer than mini standard studs for it to be safe.

So I've done my research 7-8 turns is enough.
From an engineering point of view when a nut goes on a bolt it gives maximum strength after its gone on the bolt 1.5times the bolts diameter.
With the new studs im getting just over 9 turns which is more than 1.5times the studs diameter.
Im confident it will be fine to use as normal until I get the old flange welded and back on the car.
