right then,where do i start.ive owned vini now for about six years and in that time he has gone through a couple of rebuilds and colours.the last time he was a member of this club he looked like this

i ran him for a year or two in the old english white and black colour scheme then decided it was time for a complete new colour scheme.so the work comenced and a few moths later he was renault gordini blue

so lets fast forward another year or two and now im bored of the the new colour,power,interior,infact im bored of the whole look of the car.......so theres only one thing for it...a full bare shell and engine rebuild.this so far is into 18months so far with no end in sight and a fortune spent so far.

engine stripped and rebuilt with new bearings,rings,waterpump,oilpump,baffled sump.
reconditioned t.d gearbox

competition clutch and kent vernier

arp bottom end bolts

new ported and polished big valve head

lightened and balanced billet steel flywheel.

cat cams 286 camshaft kit

allspeed subframe stripped to bare metal and coated with etch primer

decided to do away with the original cable clutch so binned the cable set

up and fitted new hydraulic thrust bearing.
thats about the point i am at the moment.today ive fitted drivers door step and outer sill,more pics to follow.Dean

as much as i would love to have him ready for some summer fun,the reality is that with work commitments,family,other hobbies and of course the cost of all the other goodies on my shopping list i will be lucky to have him on the road for 2013 lol :Pjust cant wait to actually start putting him back together(again).Dean
