after all this excitement about my mini being repaired apparently the rules for a specialist classic car company is that they are not allowed to repair classic cars. sooo... after wasting my life and messing me about i gotta get a quote from a garage to how much it would cost to fix and send it to them which apparently will take 2 weeks for them to recieve and decide whether to write my car off or not. fuming!

Surely if its been proved its not your fault (hit from behind - unless you reversed into him its GOT to be his fault) it doesnt matter if you're 3rd party as you are claiming off his insurance??

i know, which got me think, did they think i was claiming off my own insurance? because they made a massive fuss over it, when its the other guys insurance paying for it all.

Should tell them the reason you got the police involved for the other driver is because he didnt give you his details. That will show that you werent in the mood to be messed about over insurance...
Be prepared with all the mini mags again though in case this new garage tries to write it off...

i'm definately gonna try and get more than its worth tho if they do write it off. i'll just keep reminding them its only done 36000 miles and there is no body rust whatsoever. and if they want to find me a similar one they can go for it.

thats a shame keep fighting and keep pushing to save the car as hard as you can. i know a few people who had simular problem with other party not owning up but if you fight for it then you might be lucky enough to get it all sorted.
