Now that the white mini is more or less finished i've been planning what to do with the cooper, I've decided that rallying is not for me, as i am a poser at heart and love having a clean and shiny car, i'm going to turn it into another show car, have got a few custom plans for it as usual, but there is the rust to sort first, and the fact I change my mind every 5 minutes doesn't help either!!!
So in the next week or so I will be making a proper start on it so there will be plenty on updates to come.......

So after over a year of being pushed to the side, the cooper has finally been pushed into the 'warm' garage ready to be worked on, first job is to get the car running, then will be to sort the bodywork. Originally the plan was to rallycar it, but a mini isnt a car for night events, plus i'm a poser at heart, so then i decided it was going to be completely stripped and concoursed, but that is ALOT of work and i need to be driving a mini again, so I came across a style which i havent seen properly done on a mini before, it may have been done but i havent seen it, its called the 'murdered out' look, black black and more black.
So at this moment in time the plan is to satin black absolutely everything, except for the chrome wire wheels i will be running, i know i said absolutely everything, but.....oh well, haha.
I have done a few photoshops, so when i get a chance i will put them up.

Suits a badass looking car like those two, but the mini's just a cutie at heart lol Would be interesting to see though, you should put some evil eye headlight covers on it, like the silver one had!

Smooth the hell out of it if your going Llew! It works so well on long or huge cars because the lack of reflections on all of their huge smooth panels, but as you know all the angles and bits sticking out everywhere on Mini's could spoil the look a bit.... (maybe handle-less entry, smooth boot, bonnet, smoothed in arches, that kind of thing) Looking forward to the shops though, Love the Murdered look.

Could you not tint the rear lights at all? (do the Saxo/Pug trick of wrapping them with black tights in case you get in trouble for it?)

I love this idea, think i'll look really nice. I'd go low as possible, miglia arches, those F1 mirrors, de-bumper it, van grille with no surround, smoked Mk 2 rear lights, heavy window tints, smoothed boot and as said no handles or locks. Obviously its up to you but i really like the idea. Looking forward to seeing it. Tempted to do a photoshop my self now!

Ok that photoshop looks amazing but as i said the last time i'm always changing my mind and as per usual i've changed my mind, i'm no longer going for the murdered, the plans now include a pair of mgf trophy 160 seats, lots and lots of ostrich skin, some quilted cream vinyl and brown and cream paint.
At the moment there is no front end on the car, but before the new front end goes on i need to weld all the unwanted holes, such as the left hand wiper holes, ariel hole, front indicators.....etc etc
I am also contemplating fitting a ka dash to the interior. oh and possibly some shagpile carpet.
I have some pictures here somwhere of how the car looks at the moment so will post them up this evening.
