I finally got round to doing the jobs dad left me today. 1. Fit new side repeaters 2. Fit new distributor advance/retard hose 3. Put the front bumper on with new nuts n bolts 4. Fit new float chamber gasket (old one was a bit leaky) I thought the two easiest jobs were gonna be the side repeaters and the front bumper. And that the float chamber gasket would be hard. It was the other way round! Simply because the bolts are a PITA to get to. Also the side repeaters were original I think and didn't want to come out, and the new ones didn't want to go back in! Where as the float chamber gasket was very easy to change!

Yeah the assumtion always is that bolting bits on the outside is gonn be easier than fiddling under the bonnet, but then when you get down to it, the engine is really a very simple place to be! ;D Repeaters look really good, simple details make a big difference

Ha for sure. I started with the repeaters and was like "yeah this is an easy job let's do it" then I decided it was a PITA so if I carried on I'd break something lol. Moved onto bumper n managed to do that but combined with the heat and the annoyance I was very reluctant to do stuff under the bonnet. Glad I did because it was quite refreshing to find it fairly simple They do make a nice difference though, very happy. Also Josh all in good time mate. Hopefully get a fair bit finished this weekend and then I'll give her a wash n polish n do some photos

Done some more work on her today. New fuse box, although it needs some modification. New points. New chrome window surrounds. Also dad adjusted the timing and fuel mixture a bit and she's now revving immediately and much higher than she used to. The sound is unreal. OLD NEW OLD NEW
