well i was looking for material to do the roof lining, when i came across the fur and well i paid about quater of what it would have cost for a boring standard roof lining kit.
the vinyl roof isn't perfect but i like it too, next time a do a modified mini I may have a coloured vinyl roof!!!

over the last week I haven't been upto much on the mini as i had been sorting everything for the weekend car show i went to, so i am hoping to get the cage bolted today. Here is a pic of the finished rear end, although I do need to pull the rear window out again and refit it properly.

quick update:- the exhaust on the car was rusted to hell, so I sanded and wire brushed it down, then painted silver radiator paint on it, but it didnt look right, I had a can of chrome paint laying around and this is the end result.... Also been working on the interior, and this is the almost finished result...

during this build i have gone from going to be rallying it, to not rallying it, so when it came to putting the standard seatbelts back in, i didnt realise that the legs for the cage in the pocket were to close and I couldnt fit the seatbelt runner things, so at bristol mini show on the weekend i took a couple of pics of that pink mini shorty, when i was looking over the pics when i got home i realise that the pink shorty had relocated the seatbelt runners so...

well, progress has slowed abit over the last week, but there is still progress happening, the frone is almost ready to be fitted, the arches are ready to go on, the interior isn;t far from completion.... so it won't be to long before the car is finished, fingers crossed. Anyway a few of the front end back together and trial fitted:-

The White and Black colour scheme is working great with you. Won't the seat belt "box" fit into the inner sill bolt hole.? The steel in the companion boxes is a bit thin unless you've got a huge stiffening plate under the fixing bolt.

ye thats the problem i was faced with, i haven't used stiffening plates but am going to.

Update:- I have had a week off work this week so have been working on the mini flat out all week, basically all thats left is, bolt the fiberglass front end, drill holes in the bonnet for the straps, fit the front arches, wire the spotlights and fit numberplates, oh and wire up the rev counter. So i have finished the interior, bar a couple of small jobs, and fitted the rear arches, am going to be buying new chrome trim for the sides of the car this weekend,
