ahh i now how you feel bout waiting on paint!!
the guy mines gone to has had it for like a month and a half now! not impressed!
i understand the weather has been pathetic but none the less he had around 2 weeks before this cold weather and he told me it would be finished within the week!!

i was told that he was gonna need it for at least 2 weeks. I said thats fine im in no rush.....BAD MOVE. 8 weeks later and it still isnt finished His work is excellent, but hes sooooooooooooooo slow!

i did it my self wel me and my dad so we aint in a huge rush aslong as its done by january
but the paint is takin the pee a bit like but again his work is really good soo well see

Thanks. The bloke told me after he done it that its an alpha romeo colour apparently. Ie im keeping it debadged, something a bit different.

i cant decide on keeping those alloys or going for something else. Not sure if they suit. Maybe go for these bad boys. www.minisport.com/mini-spare-parts/info_STAR12_H.htmlI read somewhere that the arches need to be cut to fit 6x12 but is this true because the ones on there now are 5.5x12 and theres loads of clearance. Advice please

i know my 6x12 needed to have the front panel/wing cut, i dont know of any one getting away with it, most people struggle to get a 5.5"s not to rub but its all down to offsets etc

Hmmmm......I was just going through all the old invoices that were given to me when i bought the car and it looks like both suspension cones were replaced "to allow new alloy wheels to fit". Well thats what it says. Does that make sence or did a garage con the previous owner :/

its known when the suspension sags with age that 5x12 can rub so they probably fitted new springs to jack the ride height back up to get clearance
