Right then. I think its about time i put a bit of info on my mini. Only now started doing work on him so it made sence to leave it until now.

This is Jeff.

He's a 1992 mini city and i bought him november 2009 on ebay. Overall it was in really good condition but had the usual problems. What made me by it was that it seamed original with very little welding, and it had only done 30.00 miles! Heres some pics of it before any work.

Bodywork wise it needed 2 wings, scuttle, the two under scuttle panels (dont know what there called ), and rear valance.

The works being done by Ammanford Body Shop. Id love to do it myself but wouldnt know where to start!

Heres progress so far......

This one makes me cry every time i see it. It hurts to look at it

He says itl be finished by this time next week but i have my doubts. Il post more photos as i get them.

Its still dark blue but in metallic. I would like to have sprayed it a diferent colour but to do a proper job it wold mean respraying all the inside. Something i cant afford to do unfortunatly.

Can someone help me with exhausts please. im looking at buying this stage one kit off minispares www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=pb&pid=32605&title=

First of all, wil will it work with this car (is it the right manifold?)

Secondly, will this kit work with a different exhaust? Maybe something like this www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=pb&pid=37412&title=

The twin tail upswept design will also work, but will be extremely noisy un less you have a smaller silencer in the link pipe.

I had the DTM. Lovely sound, but on the motorway at anything over 50 you will hate it.
Driving up to Malvern one year at 7am was when I decided to get rid of it, got to the show and my ears were literally ringing.. (and then I had to drive it all the way back home after lol!)

Lovely sound around town though. and with a center silencer it would probably be far more bearable on the motorway!

Surprise surprise it's not ready even though it's taken 7 weeks instead of the quoted 2 weeks! Never mind, itl be worth the wait Il post more pics after I go up and see it in Wednesday.

Not a proper update, just to say that the stage one is ordered taking full advantage of VAT free week with minispares. No pics as progress is sloooooooooow. Its ready for paint but he doesnt want to risk spraying in this cold weather. Hopefully itl be sprayed by the end of the week.
