so after being back to the painter for the 3rd time! he finally told me he coudlnt do anythhing bout the paint and charged me £30 for sprayin my arches!:@ me and the old man decided to take it into our own hands! so on the friday after it came back be rubbed it down and primmered it ready for malvern! i tried to get a match on the paint he had used ( which was supposed to be renault gkacier white turned out to be ldv van white! which you cant seem to get the paint!) i couldnt get a tidy match so just went for a gloss white we rubbed it all down again and its now had 2 coats of primmer and 10 coats of top coat out of spray can which isnt the best but was despereate and its turned up lovely!! no cracks or run or 'reaction in the paint' crap we had of him now inthe process of polishing her up to get some shine which is working a treat so £50 2 cans of primer 5 cans of gloss white a weekend and 2 plonkers who now nothing about body worked have out shone a 'profesional 13 weeks and £380 of wasted money!!

I bet you must both be sick to death of wet and dry by now. It's been a steep learning curve for you guys, but you've come out the other side with flying colours As for the so called sprayer, not much to be said really except, make sure word gets around about his exploits.

aint updated this in ages!!! nt that much has changed i admit:P but have painted the arches black a while ago:P and decided we aint happy with them s will get round to spraying them again but this time theyll get a nice shine!! and i finally got round to changing the old steering wheel so it does suit the car more:P i also dropped the steering wheel for a bettre driving positin s its nice for me but means the old man cant drive it !! (although i d have to put up with his back seat driving now!) and after alot of work i finally gt the right windows or seals or whatever it was and changed my back windows to the non opening ones which shuits the car a whle lot more!! i think now the nly bit of chrme externarly is the window seals for the front which might dissapear well see i might get piccs up soon

If you have the current MOT Cert that says its valid until the 11th then you can legally use the car up until then. ;D Hope you get it all sorted ASAP. jd
