Very quiet on the forum at the moment, I know it's normally quiet this time of the year. Any members got any ideas to liven it up a bit. Get posting up your winter projects, mods, let's have something to talk about.

changing the co.our of the mini well only the top half gonna be black top and white bottom seen one or two minis with a blackon top and different colours looks really cool

maybe one of the admins can check out how many are actually active i mean like at least once week

Admins do take down around 50+ members non posting (who have not logged in in ages) whenever there is time to sit down and go through them. I think its 50members per page? And they try to remove an entire page worth when they have a spare few minutes to do so.
(Was all discussed at the past few meetings).
Trouble is we also get people signing up just to sell stuff and then disappear, or just sign up for a nose about from time to time. Its only in the past 4months or so weve been looking at getting shot of some of the 'dead weight'.
Not sure if its possible but maybe locking off the for sale/wanted part for people who dont have 5 or 10 posts may sort out that problem... but then we will get people signing up, realising they cant post their car for sale and then not bother logging in again. Or, posting utter rubbish to get their posts up just to list it and then heading off....so then again maybe its not worth it...

Out of all the members we have listed only 79 have not logged in in the past year. So we have 300 or so members logging in and not posting. But out of those I couldn't guess how many of them have duplicate accounts. If a member has not logged in in 18 months their account is deleted.

yeah i find it wierd how that many people are logging in but arnt posting :/
i think the best way is a club show, our going to meets as a club, not just certain ones,
you just need to make your club more appealing,
you lot obv havent been on m4 minis there forum is DEAD and i mean dead hardly anyone commenting

Hopefully now once January has settled down a bit (Apparently snow end of January like last year  ) everyone will be able to get out and about a bit easier! Trouble is at the moment it still starts getting dark around 4ish. So most meets would have to head inside at that point... and there is nothing really indoorsy except for bowling and all that which some people (those with kids etc) may not be able to afford and as a result will be excluded... Best off in Spring making up for lost time I think! ;D |

Other problem is people are all spent out after christmas last thing they want to do is spend money on a mini.. And if they haven't got a garage it's too dark/cold by the time they get home from work.. So it's just a waiting game
