Try using Hammerite thinners to remove any residue from the stickers or stripes and never had any problems with it removing paintwork either. Any idea how long before it goes for painting

I managed to do the same with one of the wheelboxes on the Beige one.. The shroud over the spindle breaks away from the base and just keeps on spinning when you try to undo the nut.
