yep everythings working as it should,still for sale [ at the right price ] [ thats my right price not the wifes ] and intend to be at the next show [ bristol ]. i can now concentrate on the finishing touches to the interior particarly getting the cd player working.its good to hear some positive feedback from the forum thanks lads ! [ and girls ].

i think i spoke to soon.i thought today check levels,see if water/oil ok - no problems radiator needed a little, i thought just check the oil filler cap just to see if there was any substances on there and yes you guessed it creamy - pasty white substance on the cap also put my finger in to scrape the top of the rocker cover and it was on there as well,so got a feeling the head is cracked,my mini is jinxed !

i am still going to bristol, i am off tomorrow to see the chap who did the head gasket for me last week [ locally ] [ funded by leaton mini center ] to see the verdict he said it could be the remains that was floating around from before but i doubt it,it was enough to spread on 2 slice of toast.

do you know if the oil and filter was changed after the head gasket was done. it could also be a breather problem. p.s just got the head off minie today and it was the worse one i done so far as the only way it would come of was to destroy the head with a hammer and chisel  |

oil and filter changed mechanic used shell helix oil.
