Was there any sludge in the rocker cover before the head Gasket change and did the rocker cover get a good clean before being put back on VB.

The sludge is usually caused by a lot of short trips in the car. I used to get sludge in the Beige One, but since I've started going to shows and doing longer runs, the problem has not raised It's ugly head again.

Just keep an eye on your water level for now VB, just to make sure It's not the head gasket, again. The Cylinder head nuts will need to be Re-Torqued after about a 100 miles or so. Standard procedure after a head gasket change.

hello, i'm sue vb's wife. I hate the car and want to buy new doors for the house. Have knocked up some for sale signs and was wondering if we have any joy, will one of you give him a lift back? I would be willing to pick him up from pont abraham if this helps!

well, up to winning the mini of the month and the feed-back i have had i was thinking of selling and maybe starting another project for next winter [ i did think about getting another cooper and giving a bit of a makeover ]but i think i will sit back and have a think, the other thing is, it is very hard to put a price on the gt as there isnt a lot to go on [ so any advice would be good ] so i think i will have a good look around and not rush in to doing anything - vb

hi, it seems the gt is staying for a while longer, had somebody interested in £4800,to cheap at that price to let go,so the cooper is on hold and the next thing to do is to find some protection for the winter months, and we will see where we go, vb

Hmm. Tell you what, why don't you get Taff to do a Photoshop pic of what you require. That'll then give you an idea of what the GT may look like.
